What is RetraStrap?
RetraStrap is made by Retra Products LLC, a small U.S. company that started on Kickstarter. Its main product is a retractable shoulder strap that attaches to the handle of a wheeled carry-on, so the bag rolls behind you while you wear the strap across your body and keep both hands free. The design is patented (U.S. Patent 10420411), includes an elastic section meant to absorb shocks and steady the handle, and retracts into a housing when you're not using it. The brand says it works for kids' rolling school bags and alongside crutches, canes or a wheelchair, and it was mentioned in The Washington Post's travel coverage in 2024.

Which RetraStrap product should you buy?
- Frequent flyers in the U.S.: The RetraStrap (U.S.) listing is the one the store points American shoppers to. It works with most wheeled carry-ons up to 30 lbs and costs $26.99 with the code.
- As a gift: The Retail Packaged version is the same strap at the same $29.99 price but comes in store-style packaging, which makes it easier to wrap for a traveler.
- Parents of students: The brand notes that customers use the strap on children's heavy rolling school bags, which keeps the load off one arm.
- Mobility aid users and caregivers: The strap is shown in use with crutches, a cane and while pushing a wheelchair, so the bag follows without needing a free hand.
- Lowest price in the store: The M.E. Hood is $11.99 with the code. It's a non-medical reusable hood with a built-in mask and eye shield, not a travel strap.
- Lets you tow a carry-on while keeping both hands free for a phone, coffee, a stroller or a second bag.
- Retractable design keeps the strap off the ground and out of the way when not in use.
- Elastic section is designed to steady the handle and reduce wobble while walking.
- One-year manufacturer warranty, and the store currently advertises free shipping to any country for a limited time.
- Made for carry-on bags up to 30 lbs, not large check-in suitcases.
- Spinner bags must be pulled tipped back on two wheels, and you still carry the bag on regular stairs.
- Returns must be unused, within 30 days, and you pay return shipping; the policy also says sale items can't be refunded.
RetraStrap shipping and returns
- US shipping: The store ships to the U.S. and currently shows free shipping to any country as a limited-time offer. It does not publish delivery times, so check the estimate at checkout.
- Returns: 30 days from purchase. Items must be unused, in original condition and packaging, with proof of purchase. The buyer pays return shipping, and only regular-priced items are eligible for a refund.
- Warranty: One year from the invoice date against defects in materials and workmanship, covering the retraction mechanism, strap adjustment and shoulder pad when used as intended. The customer pays shipping on warranty claims.
RetraStrap coupon FAQ
Does RetraStrap have a coupon code?
Yes. Use 3HANDS-REVUZOX at checkout for $3 off eligible orders.
Can I combine RetraStrap promo codes?
RetraStrap doesn't publish a stacking policy. Plan on using one code per order and check your total at checkout before paying.
How long does RetraStrap shipping take to the US?
The store doesn't list a delivery window on its site. Free shipping is advertised as a limited-time offer, and you'll see the shipping method and estimate at checkout.
Does RetraStrap work with spinner luggage?
Yes, but only when the bag is tipped back and rolling on two wheels. The strap fits most carry-on handles between 1/2 inch and 1 inch in diameter, works on many T-handles depending on shape, and is rated for bags up to 30 lbs. The brand doesn't recommend it for large check-in suitcases near 50 lbs.
